For Designers & Architects

We Speak
Your Language

You think in material palettes, sight lines and spatial tension. So do we. Arpège is the specialist piano atelier that works the way your practice works — from concept stage, on your timeline, in your language.

Brief us on your project
Bespoke Arpège grand piano in a luxury interior design scheme 01

A bespoke piano has no product code, no lead time table, no swatch card. Just a universe of possibility — materials, proportions, acoustics, artistry — waiting to be shaped. That is where we come in: to make the process simple, certain and enjoyable.

How We Work With You

Our Seven-Step Process — Adapted to Your Workflow

Every Arpège commission follows the same seven-step process — from initial conversation through to aftercare. When we work with a design studio, we adapt each step to integrate with your timeline, your deliverable format and your client relationship.

You remain the design authority throughout. We provide the piano expertise, the material sourcing, the technical specification and the installation logistics. Your client sees a single, seamless scheme — not a piano bolted onto an interior.

We Join at Your Stage

Concept, developed design, or technical — we can enter the project at any point and adapt to wherever your scheme currently sits.

We Deliver in Your Format

GA mark-ups, 3D renders in your interior context, CAD drawings, material samples, specification schedules — whatever your practice needs.

We Coordinate with Your Team

Direct liaison with your contractors, shipyard, project manager or site team for delivery, access and installation logistics.

Starting a Brief

What We Need From You

The more context you share, the faster we can move. None of these are mandatory — even a single photograph of the space is enough to begin.

01

Floor Plans & GAs

Room dimensions, ceiling heights, door widths and access routes. If the piano needs to reach the seventh floor of a Mayfair townhouse or the main saloon of a yacht, we need to know early.

02

Material Palette

Stone samples, timber species, fabric swatches, metal finishes — anything that defines the interior language. We design the piano to sit within your scheme, not beside it.

03

Mood & Reference

Imagery, references, precedents. A photograph of a lacquer box in a Kyoto temple. A Ruhlmann desk. The curve of a particular yacht hull. We work best when we understand the emotional intent, not just the specification.

04

Budget Indication

A working range helps us propose the right level of complexity. Bespoke commissions typically begin around £40,000 and can exceed £300,000 for instruments incorporating precious materials and commissioned artworks.

05

The Client & Music

Do they play? Will the piano be primarily a visual centrepiece, a performing instrument, or both? This shapes our acoustic and mechanical specification as much as the casework design.

06

Timeline

When does the interior complete? We can work to tight deadlines with phased installations — delivering the piano at the moment the room is ready for it, coordinated with your fit-out programme.

What We Deliver

Everything You Need to Specify with Confidence

We provide all the documentation and materials your practice and your client require — no chasing, no gaps.

3D Renders

Photorealistic renders of the piano within your interior elevations, including material and lighting accuracy.

Material Samples

Physical veneer samples, lacquer colour chips, metal finish swatches and stone sections — delivered to your studio for client sign-off.

Technical Drawings

Full CAD drawings with dimensions, weight loadings, electrical requirements for self-play systems, and ventilation specifications.

Installation Engineering

Access surveys, crane lift plans, marine shipping specifications, and coordination with your site team for delivery day.

Progress Photography

Milestone photography throughout the build — rim bending, veneer laying, lacquer stages, voicing — for your client presentations.

Acoustic Consultation

Room acoustics assessment and advice on piano placement, orientation and any acoustic treatment to optimise the musical experience.
