Process
Each stage of an Arpège bespoke piano commission is as considered as the materials we work with. Scroll to begin the journey.

Step 01
It begins here — not with a specification, but with a conversation. Tell us about the space, the light, the materials you love. Show us a photograph, a fabric swatch, a half-formed idea. We listen before we draw.

Step 02
Your brief becomes sketches, renders, and physical material samples — veneers, lacquer chips, metal finishes, stone specimens. Every decision is made by eye and hand. If you work with a designer, we collaborate directly with your team.

Step 03
A formal proposal detailing every specification: platform, dimensions, materials, finishes, acoustic targets and delivery timeline. Nothing is ambiguous. A staged payment schedule protects both parties. Fixed price — no surprises.
Twenty artisan disciplines.
Twelve thousand parts.
One vision. Yours.

Step 04
The instrument takes shape. Casework, marquetry, gilding, lacquer, stringing, voicing — twenty disciplines converge. Photographic progress reports arrive at each milestone. Workshop visits are always welcome.

Step 05
A private unveiling at our Fitzrovia showroom. You play it. You examine every surface. Final voicing is adjusted to your preference. If any detail falls short, we address it before the piano leaves our care.

Step 06
Climate-controlled transport, specialist handling, placement in your space. For superyachts, we coordinate crane lifts and onboard installation. A senior technician accompanies every delivery for on-site tuning and regulation.

Step 07
Your piano is a living instrument. Annual tuning, seasonal regulation, and the option to return for refinishing or re-voicing at any time. Every Arpège commission is archived — your instrument has a provenance, and we are its custodians.

You might have a fully realised brief or nothing more than an instinct. Either way, we would like to hear it.
